YCN - A is for Award

Montréal, 2009

The A is a new physical award created by YCN to be periodically presented to emerging creative talents. Through consultation with industry figures internationally, practitioners from specific disciplines will be identified and surprised with a physical A created in a pertinent material or process related to their work.

Due to the nature of how the award will be bestowed, I was asked to respond to the theme ‘The Element of Surprise" by creating an image that includes the "A". The artwork is exhibited at the 72 Rivington Street, YCN's multi-purpose space. Prints of the artwork are available at the store and on YCN's website.
